Harley-Davidson to recall over 600 motorcycles

SEOUL, – January 25, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Harley-Davidson Korea will recall a total of 629 units of nine motorcycle models due to defective fuel tank systems, government officials said Sunday.

The motorcycles were manufactured between June 6, 2008 and Nov. 19 2009, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said.

The fuel tanks may rupture and leak if stress is placed on them in an accident, the ministry said. Free repairs will be available starting Monday at Harley-Davidson service centers across the nation, it added.
